Allesverloren is the oldest estate along the Swartland wine route and its history dates back to the 17th Century. It was passed into the hands of the Malan family in 1872 and the fifth generation Malan; Danie Malan is now the estate’s current winemaker and owner. Enjoy a nice range of red wines and port (some unusual varietals to South Africa are on offer, such as Touriga Nacional or Tinta Barocca) and admire the view, while the children wander around the playground.
Did You Know...? In 1704, the farm was burnt to the ground, giving the name to the winery Allesverloren (All is lost)
Wine Maker: Danie Malan and Louis van der Riet (assistant)
Established since: 1704
These are the cultivars produced on the estate...
On top of that, you'll find the following on the estate...
