Tucked away in the far end of the beautiful Franschhoek Valley, Colmant was the first winery in South Africa entirely dedicated to the South African bubbly-lovers. The cellar was erected from scratch in 2005. According to the owner's philosophy of hands-on quality, he designed a cellar that was both modern, small and efficient, which allows him to control the whole production cycle. The cellar has been built in a "Cape Vernacular" style which matches the existing homestead and has wrap-around views of the valley and nestles under the majestic Middagkrans peak. Passion is the word! By the way, the Colmant Brut Chardonnay was awarded 5* by the 2012 Platter guide as well as 92/100 by the Wine Advocate! What are you waiting for?!
